A section of the floor of the gallery is sanded away to produce a concaved dip in a cartoonesque kidney shape, and is then sealed to become non porous and treated and coloured to match / resemble the rest of the floor in the space. Water is then poured into the dip to produce a puddle in the gallery. The puddle is topped up every morning the gallery space is open to visitors (due to evaporation) or if a spectator steps in and disperses the water around the floor of the space by means of footprints. Notes: Dissemination of movement, creates a trace of the spectator / audience. Suggesting evidence of an event or action. Again as with the fire the continuity and persistence of it being a time based durational intervention, lying on the cusp between staged and unstaged, purposeful and accidental.
