Wilfredo Prieto

Wilfredo Prieto's 'Peephole' allows the viewer to watch the news through, as the title suggests, a peephole in the wall. Having to make great effort to be able to watch and listen to the news, the viewer gains voyeuristic qualities. In an effort to inverstigate the contradictions that characterise our contemporary times, Prieto points to the issue of mass distraction and a society that is perpetually distracted by trivial matters, so as to be kept blind from the reality of the media and its lobbies.
