Celebrities from a variety of circles (including actors, politicians, artists and writers) form the subject of the photographs produced by the German artist Albrecht Fuchs (1964). Fuchs has photographed stars such as Ennio Morricone, Damon Alban, Matthew Barney, Isabella Rossellini, Mark Leckey, Martin Kippenberger, Elisabeth Peyton and Wolfgang Tillmans, stripped of every trace of glamour. It's simply extraordinary how he is able to record the vulnerability of these people with such sensitive material. It's also remarkable how relaxed his subjects are as they pose for the photographer. They're entirely themselves, so we see them as they're never usually seen.
