July 6th opens a group exhibition at CWART in Knokke. Sarah van Sonsbeeck will be part of this exhibition, presenting multiple works.
Van Sonsbeeck started out as an architect. Her interest in sound and its absence began with noises coming from her neighbours. Unable to sleep at night because of their lovers’ quarrels, make-up sex and loud music. Since then, the artist has used her work to question the popular equation of silence with calmness and privacy.
