Lol Crawley is the 6th recipient of the the Robby Müller Award and was awarded with a new released Polaroid during the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
The Robby Müller Award was created to celebrate the internationally acclaimed Dutch cinematographer, his pioneering camerawork and his mastery of light and darkness, which made him known as the 'Master of light'. The Award is a collaboration between International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Netherlands Society of Cinematographers and Andrea Müller-Schirmer. Each year, Annet Gelink Gallery together with Andrea Müller-Schirmer choses a never-seen-before photo by Robby Müller to honor the winner.
This year, the jury honored Oscar nominated (The Butalist, 2024) British cinematographer Lol Crawley for his ability to create imagery that is both deeply immersive and intuitively connected to the story and characters.
